It's all about the jewelry, seriously. Inventing, creating and giving.... now selling. I love to hear the stories and see the reactions.
Initially, I made jewelry for others just to make and give it away to friends and family. I come from a family of eight and I love giving a great jewelry gift for special occasions. My immediate family, my husband and three children have also inspired me to create more "hip" jewelry. I think finally, since I have been tutored by Rebecca Melton at Multnomah Art Center, I can now create gifts for my two daughters and my son that they will actually wear (I have been trying for 17 years!!!). My girls are happy I have learned metalsmithing skills. I love to give jewelry gifts to my friends. For birthdays, special dinners, it's just fun to invent and give a special jewelry gift.
Now, since I am in the jewelry making business it is so much fun to listen to the wishes of others and make those wishes come true. The support my friends have given me is phenomenal. What great inspiring people! I am quite blessed. PTL (praise the Lord)! It is so touching to have a man come to me wanting a "special" gift for his wife... It just touches my heart. At the same time, I worry the whole time that their wife has seen my name come up on their cell phone and I can't wait until the "job" is over so the secret is out!!! Friends have seen my special locket I made for my granddaughters mother with her picture and have asked me to made one for their "daughter-in-love (law)". I just love supporting those dreams to make others happy with my jewelry. Really it's their jewelry!
Managers and business owners have approached me, asking me to make jewelry for their employees. I am in awe that these managers are so attentive to their employees. What really great people they are to give such a gift to an employee. I was a manager at one time in an orthopedic clinic. I too loved to give the jewelry gifts. I have also been involved and on the staff of Panache Living for many years, an interdenominational Christian woman's support group. This involvement has inspired me to put together my "Be the Change" jewelry line. Exhortation is my goal with this line. Something very close to my heart; "Be the best that you can be with a feather in your cap!" I hope this jewelry will help you encourage others to be the best that they can be. I hope this jewelry can open doors for you to encourage others to come to Christ.
Ok, is it really all about the jewelry? In 2007 I was blessed to be included in Team USA Grand Masters Dragon Boat team that competed in Penfith, Australia in the Olympic park. We came home with the Silver and Bronze medals. What a blessing it was to be part of the team. Amiee Moyers, with the help of Ron Kay and Craig Heverly, coached our team of 22 women to a place where we were truly a team to contend with. What a joy it was to become the team we became. What friendships were had.! What a blessing to bring home the Silver and Bronze jewelry. Thank you Amiee et all!
Hope you enjoy your jewelry, Thank YOU
